Sant'Angelo in Panzo was built around the 10th century on the ruins of a Roman settlement. Throughout its long existence, which is part of the historical, artistic and religious heritage of Assisi, it was convent, abandoned hermitage, patrician residence, rural house. However, it has always maintained its original structure with the church and its springs that have given water to Assisi since Roman times through tunnels dug into the rock and still visible.

Sant'Angelo in Panzo was the first convent that hosted Saint Clare who, after being joined by her sister Saint Agnes, performed here, according to legend, her first miracle. A bound private residence, it is considered one of the most interesting residences in Umbria and Assisi.

Sant'Angelo in Panzo is located just 2 kilometres from Assisi, in the beautiful Umbrian territory, rich in natural and historical beauties, as well as a generous food and wine territory.

This unique place is being carried out by a family, now in its 5th generation, who take care to preserve this important historical heritage.

Friday

Arrival in the afternoon at Sant'Angelo in Panzo, Assisi. Transfers from train stations and airports can be organized on request.

Dinner in the residence, typical local menu prepared by a local highly qualified cook.

Overnight stay. The arrangement of the bedrooms is as follows:

1st floor: 1 double bedroom with private bathroom (the room Ettore), 1 double room (the room Maria), 1 single room (the room Mario), bathroom.

                                             2nd floor: 1 double bedroom with private bathroom (the room Rosellina), 1 double room (the room Beatrice), 1 single room (the room Loretta), bathroom.

The entire residence is at your disposal during your stay.

 

Saturday and Sunday

After a buffet breakfast with both sweet and savoury dishes, the day can be carried out according to your wishes. From the unmissable visit to the city of Assisi or the region, to various outdoor activities, to tastings of typical local products. Or you can relax in the residence taking advantage of the peaceful place. Not to mention the tasting of our organic extra virgin olive oil, with an introduction to the world of oil including a tour in the fields.

An aperitif and a dinner with a typical local menu await you to end the day in style.
